Trap-Defender® Pressure Drop Automatic Trap Primer
Trap-Defender® is a pressure drop-activated automatic trap primer designed to be connected to any potable cold water line. It is automatically activated when a pressure drop as low as 3 PSI occurs. The control valve releases water into the floor drain’s P-trap to maintain a seal.
Automatic Trap Primers feature:
- Operates with 3 PSI pressure drop
- Operates at pressures from 20–80 PSI
- Fully automatic
- Lead-free brass with 1/2" NPT
- 1/2" NPT Union and 1/2" Sweat Union available

The trap primer connection is to receive discharge from a trap primer valve (fig. 2694) to maintain the trap seal (water level) in p-trap below to prevent the emission of sewer gases.
