Drywall Bead Access Doors
This 16 gauge, galvannealed steel access door is designed for flush placement in drywall. To facilitate that, the frame/jamb of the door is fabricated with 1/4” (6) mounting holes for anchoring to framing member and a drywall bead attached like a flange. Once installed, joint compound is applied in the typical manner covering any fasteners and the bead itself. A concealed pivoting rod hinge prevents distortion and closes the door squarely (doors 24" or larger have piano hinges.) The latch is screwdriver operated. The door assembly is delivered primed and ready for painting.
