Taper Thread Plug with Frame and Scoriated Cover

This cast bronze taper thread closure plug is used in caulk ferrule cleanouts that require a taper thread plug. This plug can be covered with one of two frames having secured scoriated covers. Fig. 4440 is a circular cover designed for face-of-wall installation in tile, masonry, or dry wall construction. It is usually installed on an opening in the finished wall. Fig. 4441 is a square cover intended for flush-with-wall installation in plaster or wet wall construction and is installed during the wall construction. Both are fitted with anchoring lugs that secure the frame to the wall.
