Mark Marini Featured in MCAA Sponsor Spotlight

Jay R. Smith Mfg. Co.’s Mark Marini was recently featured in an MCAA Sponsor Spotlight webinar. The MCAA Sponsor Spotlight is a way for MCAA contractors to learn about the companies in MCAA Manufacturer/Supplier Council (M/SC) Governing Board.

Marini was interviewed by Rick Gopffarth, MCAA Vice President/Assistant Treasurer. The hour-long interview began with an overview of Smith’s 95-year long history and the products and services Smith offers. In addition to talking about Smith’s products and services, Marini gave an overview of what other products are offered under Morris Group International’s divisions and partnerships.

The conversation later turned to market trends, including the effect that shortages have had on business. Marini was confident in Morris Group International’s ability to keep consistently providing their customers with products. "We don't anticipate shortages of our products throughout 2021 and 2022. We pride ourselves in engineering, manufacturing, and maintaining safety stock levels. We want to control our destiny and take care of our partners."

The interview concluded with Gopffarth asking Marini what sets Smith and other Morris Group divisions and partnerships apart from their competitors. Marini discussed innovation, inventory levels, and the Morris Group’s commitment to their customers. “When we commit to something, we do what we say. We know time is money. The number one way to save time and labor is to complete our shipments on time and accurately,” he said.
