8200Grease Interceptors with Extension

This interceptor is ideal for kitchens, restaurants, institutions, and all types of food processing areas where waste water contains Fats, OIls, and Greases (F.O.G.s). F.O.Gs will solidify and build up in pipes and lead to blockages, backups, pipe bursts, and overflows. Interceptors with extensions are installed recessed in the floor with cover flush with finished floor. Extension provides additional roughing depth from top of interceptor to center line of inlet and outlet. Extension should not be used as a means for supporting the assembly. The entire interceptor body and extension must rest on solid ground or suitable support hangers.

How Grease Interceptors Work

"The advantage of an interceptor is its proven track record and long-established acceptance by the plumbing industry."

– *PM Engineer Magazine

Learn about the importance of a grease trap or interceptor and how one works to keep plumbing functioning properly.

A grease trap (or grease interceptor) is a plumbing device (a type of trap) designed to intercept most greases and solids before they enter a wastewater disposal system. These units reduce the amount of fats, oils, and greases (FOGs) that enter sewers.
