Light Duty - Pedestrian Traffic Flushing Type Laboratory and Institutional Drain

These are flushing-type floor drains typically used in a laboratory or institutional applications.
The drain body and flange are fabricated from Duco-Cast Iron. The drain interior is acid-resistant coated.  Side 3/4" (19 mm) NPT Flushing connection is provided. The top is fabricated of Nickel Bronze, and Vandal-Proof Screws are provided.

2500 Series drains are available with a bottom outlet or trap drain.

HINGED PERFORATED GRATE - Perforated hinged grate allows liquids but prevents solids from passing, and allows easy access for cleaning the interior.  Free Area - 10 sq inches (65 sq cm).

LOOSE SET WIDE BAR GRATE - Loose set wide bar grate permits solids disposal and allows removal for easy cleaning. Grate is also available hinged (suffix-H). Free Area - 18 sq inches (116 sq cm).

INTEGRAL GRATE AND RIM - Vandal-proof, heavy, wide bar grate permits solids disposal yet prevents
removal of the grate. Free Area 17.5 sq inches (113  sq cm).

LOAD RATING: Light Duty load rating per ASME A112.6.3 Floor and Trench Drain Standard, Classification and Test Procedures for Grate Loading. All grate selections shall be based on the loading factor, anticipated traffic, drain location, and other pertinent factors for the application. Loading classifications are static loads only and are categorized into five classifications, each having a given range. For the specific safe live static load rating of any grate, contact the Smith representative or factory directly.

Light Duty is defined as having a Safe Live Static Load less than 2,000 lbs. (900 kg).
