Design
Approach |
||||
To select
the proper drainage system: |
||||
2. Calculate the length and depth of the catchment area. 3. Identify rainfall intensity over the given area; or identify the output position, source and flow rate of the liquid to be drained. |
5. Calculate required flow rate per meter of drainage channel and its distribution (ie., evenly or unevenly distributed). 6. Select the system with the appropriate width for the conditions identified. 7. Determine the number, size and locations of outlets to the sewer system. |
