Function: The downspout filter is installed above grade in the vertical rainwater downspout piping to remove debris to
the storm water system and divert 90% of the clean rainwater to the storage tank. The filter operates as
a first flush device. The filter assembly consists of downspout converter kit and filter. The stainless steel filter assembly components
are the upper housing, 280 micron fine mesh filter, and main housing. The mesh
filter is easily removed and should be cleaned in a dishwasher at least twice a year.
