| 1) How do I enable or disable the feature that allows CD-Roms to automatically run? | Click Start,
point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click System
icon. Double-click the CD-ROM branch on the Device Manager tab, and then
double-click the entry for your CD-ROM drive. On the Settings tab, click
to clear the Auto Insert Notification check box. Click OK , click Close,

| 2) How do I create a Selection Set in the SQO? | Selection Sets
can only be created for either Specification or Quotation Documents. You
must have a document of the desired type open and have entered some data
into the document to create a selection set of that type. To create a
new Selection Set from your current document: ● Click the type of set to make, either Specification or Quotation. ● Click the SAVE AS button. ● Enter the set name, description and comments in the appropriate fields. Selection Set names must be unique within the same Document type. ● Click SAVE. For more help, see the S.Q.O. "Help" Section. |
| 3) How to prepare
a standard quotation with Figure Number, Description. Location, Size, Quantity
and Unit Price: |
A) From the
"Home" page, click on Create New Specification, Quotation or
Order Document.
B) On the Create New Document page, single click quotation and the Create key. C) Give the document a name (type over highlighted area or delete content to give name) on the Create Quotation Document page and select OK. (A window will appear stating that a "New Quotation Document Successfully Created.") Click OK. [The document has been created and the name of the file will show on the bottom tool bar, C:\Program Files\SQO\UserQuotes\filename.quo. The file extension (.quo) will automatically be added] D) If this is the first quote that has
been created, skip this instruction and the following one. From the
"Home" page, double click Open Existing Specification,
Quotation or Order Document. |
| 4) How to fax a Quotation: | To fax a quotation with a cover sheet, click on the Print icon from the home page. Next, click on the Format icon from the Format & Print Quotation Document window. From the drop down menu, click on Cover Sheet. Fill out all necessary information and check the box next to Include Cover Sheet. After all information has been input, click on Apply. The system will return to the Format & Print Quotation Document window. Click on the Printer Setup icon. At the bottom of this window, click on Printer. A Page Setup window will appear. Click on the down arrow icon, select WinFax and click on OK. On the Page Setup window click on the OK button. The system will return to the Format & Print Quotation Document window. Click on the Print icon. |
| 5) How to get Help with the SQO system: | Help is available
from two sources. The first source is Peedy. To activate Peedy, click on
the Help icon from the Tool Bar of the activated window and select Let
Peedy Help from the drop down menu. Peedy will provide a brief overview
of the screen and it's functions. To deactivate Peedy, right click on
Peedy himself and click on Hide. To change some of Peedy's behavior,
right click on Peedy and select Advanced Character Options. Make sure to
click on Apply to activate the changes.
To obtain help without Peedy, click on the Help icon and select Help SQO. The JRS SQO Users Manual will open up in a separate window. To Print the topic, click on the Print icon in this window and select Print. To continue to view additional topics from this menu, click on the Help Topics icon and type in the words for the subject matter. Next, click on the index entry and click on display. |
| 7) How to change settings for the Quotation: | To change
settings for the entire Quotation, select the Custom icon from the top
tool bar. From the various options listed, make the changes needed and
click the Change icon.
To change settings for an item, select the Options icon from the tool bar on the Figure Selection screen. A list of options ranging from including weight and volume in description to over ridding prices are available from the screen. If changes are made, click on the Apply icon. |

8) Why Option Pricing is Displayed:
|
Option pricing can be included in the base figure number price or it can be listed separately below the figure number. To set the preference, click the Options tab on the figure screen and under Option Pricing, choose the manner in which you want the options prices displayed. |
| 9) How to save a file as an Adobe Acrobat .pdf type: | Click the Save Icon on the Print screen. The file name will be displayed in the file name dialogue box. Type in .pdf right after the file name. From the drop down menu for Save as Type, select the Adobe Acrobat .pdf. |
| 10) How to remove the "Location" field in the Header: | From the print screen, select Format Options, Format. Next, select the New icon and give it a name and click apply. A new format has been created. Select the New Format and click on Modify. From the Header tab, you can choose to include or not 11 categories from the header including Location. After making any changes, select Apply. |
| 11) Why do you have to enter to the variations and options for an item that was configured through the cross reference? | There are too many variations to include in the cross reference. |
| 12) How to navigate and/or scroll to the second and third page on the Print Screen. | In the bottom left corner of the print screen, there is a button that indicates which page you are viewing. To view a different page, press the button to the right of the number that is being displayed. To move backwards, click on the button to the left of the number. |
| 13) Remembering to change the multiplier. | Multipliers may differ among customers. The SQO will continue to use the last multiplier that was used until it is changed. Make sure you change the multiplier value for different customers. |
| 14) Can the SQO be used in lieu of the handwritten W transmitters? | The SQO cannot be used in lieu of the handwritten W transmitters because the W transmitters request additional information that is not on the SQO. |
| 15) What are the advantages of SQO: |
Flexibility - You can create a Specification, Quotation and/or Order. You can convert a Specification into a Quotation or Order, and a Quotation in an Order. You can create and save Selection Sets, so you don't have to rekey commonly quoted items. By using "Selection Sets", you can speed up the quotation process. Save Specifications, Quotations or Orders and reuse them again in the future. Other product lines can be added to the SQO system. The output from the SQO system is not dependent on a particular Word Processor. Ability to modify and create new formats to meet your needs. The system contains extensive on-line, contextual help that can be viewed or printed. The system contains an extensive Cross-Reference Utility. The cross-reference can be by base item, variations and options. The cross-reference is carried over to the quotation screen, i.e. Last x-ref. The SQO system has its own Support Documents so you don't have to go to the catalog to look up a submittal, drawing or picture. |
| 16) Steps to a successful installation: | Uninstall any previous versions of the SQO by using the Remove Programs utility. Insert the SQO CD and select Install when prompted and accept all of the license agreements. The SQO will be installed under Programs and a SQO Icon will be placed as a short cut on your desktop. |
| 17) Error 53: File not found: c4dll.dll in SQO.SQO_Code.Main. | Your computer
is missing the c4dll.dll file needed by the SQO. You will have to
download a file in order to correct this situation.

to download the c4dll.dll patch.
After you download the file to your computer, double click on it (the downloaded file) and it will install the c4dll.dll file in the appropriate directory on your computer. After installing the c4dll.dll file, run the SQO from the desktop icon or from Start/ Programs/ SQO. |
| 18) Installing Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1 (SP1) will cause SQO, UPC Cross Reference Utility and Raintrol Calculator application desktops to freeze. | This is caused by a new Microsoft "Security Enhancement" in the
service pack that prevents access to the desktop window. You will have
to download a file in order to correct this situation.
