Jay R. Smith Mfg. Co’s plant in Montgomery, AL is being expanded to
include 53,000 sq. ft. of additional space and 20 new jobs. Local
leaders recently recognized Smith and other expanding businesses by
taking a bus tour to see the changes firsthand.

Downspout Nozzles and Covers Fig. # 1770, 1771 and 1775
The Downspout Nozzle is used as a parapet overflow or at the base of a wall where a concealed leader discharges rainwater to the ground. The nozzle design diverts water away from the building, eliminating wall stains. The wall flange covers the rough opening.

Web Features and Updates
A green roof is a vegetated roof with growth media composition to support growing plants. It provides evaporative cooling, converts carbon dioxide to oxygen and reduces stormwater
runoff. Green roofs can also include cool roofs (reflective roofs). Overall,
green roofs offer a wide range of social, economic, and environmental benefits
compared to typical commercial roof tops.
The drainage off a green roof surface is a particularly important component to maintain optimum growing conditions in the growth medium, to managing heavy rainfall without sustaining damage to growth media due to erosion or ponding of water, and to ensure the sound engineering and structural integrity of the roof.

Quad Close Trap Seal Device brochure - The Quad Close Barrier Type Trap Seal Device creates a watertight seal inside the drain and/or throat of the strainer. It will stay open when water is flowing into the floor drain. It will close when the water stops flowing. When closed, the Quad Close prevents the emission of sewer gas, minimizes the evaporation of water in the trap, and helps prevent backup into a building.
